

He was a member of Three Creeks Baptist Church where he served as the oldest deacon. Ray was a graduate of the Arkansas School for the Blind. He later became an expert carpenter, electrician, and plumber. His accomplishments were more than even many sighted persons could ever have succeeded in. Ray was also an accomplished pianist.
Preceding him in death are his parents; sister, Ophelia Burdine; three brothers, Bob, Wayne and Troy Crawford.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Inez Crawford; son, Mike Crawford (Jenny); daughter, Bonnie Griffin (Bill); four grandchildren, Stephen Griffin (Jeanne), Chris Griffin (Alice), Lori Cornell (Troy), all of Junction City, Josh Crawford (Jamie) of El Dorado; and four great grandchildren, Gracie Griffin, Zac Griffin, Mason Cornell, and Kiera Frisby.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Three Creeks Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Margis officiating. Burial will follow at Three Creeks Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Three Creeks Baptist Church.
