Robert W Barr

Bob served 2 years with the U.S. Army and was stationed in Chatereaux, France from 1952-54. Later Esther joined him during his tour of duty and that time of young adventure and travel is a treasured memory for both.

Bob always offered a sincere handshake, a warm greeting, and had a genuine love for others. He was a believer in The Lord Jesus Christ and loved his family deeply. Bob served and loved his Westside Baptist Church family as well as his extended family of friends in Goodwin Heights and the town of El Dorado. He will be greatly missed by all.

Robert Wesley Barr is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Blanche Barr and 2 brothers, Edward Barr, William (Bill) Barr and infant grandson, Jeremy Paul Sefzik.

Bob is survived by his wife, Esther Louise Penrod Barr of El Dorado, AR; brother, Dwight Barr of Carbondale, IL; three children: Beth Ann Barr Sefzik of Garland, TX, James Robert Barr of Little Rock, AR, Jason Heath Barr of Little Rock, AR; and 2 grandchildren: Mary Ann Sefzik of Garland, TX and Isaac Barr of Pine Bluff.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2016, at West Side Baptist Church with Bro. Gerald Perry officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be private.
