Oh, Belinda, I'm so very sorry to hear of Gerald's passing. He was such a kind and generous man and will be missed by many. He always had a kind word followed by a great sense of humor. My daughters will be sad to hear this, also. Y'all were so good to them. My condolences to you and your family. I can no longer drive due to epilepsy, so I won't be able to make the services, but I will be there in spirit honoring Gerald's life! God bless you and your family! I love you, Mary Mattern

Belinda and family,
We are sending our deepest condolences. We pray that you feel Christ’s love and peace overflowing. That with each call, message, card, and offer of help be reminding that His actual hands and feet are physically here embracing you.
A memory I’d like to share is the time surrounding my engagement. My husband surprised me by taking a trip from LR to El Dorado to your jewelry store. We walked through the door and were met with the warmest and welcoming couple who honestly made us feel like family. You both were there with us almost 10years ago before our marriage and have celebrated with us throughout.
We are so saddened to hear of Mr. Cook’s passing. The ornament we have hanging from our tree will forever remind us of that special afternoon we spent with both of you.
We love you.

The news of Gerald's passing leaves us all with heavy hearts. Certainly, God has welcomed his good and faithful servant into heaven. Gerald's faith and his servant's heart were an inspiration to us all. In business, he was a man of total integrity. When I proposed to Lynn, I knew Gerald was the man to see.

Gerald was a devoted family man. Everyone could see how much he loved Belinda. At church, he was a tireless worker, a leader that we all looked up to. I was proud to know him.

Our prayers are with Belinda and the whole family. I know that words cannot lessen the pain, but please know that our hearts are with you always.

Sincerely,
Ken and Lynn Bridges and Family

I have fond memories when as a child I sold Grit newspapers. The jewelry store was a regular route stop I always enjoyed. Gerald was always so nice and friendly, putting that painfully shy little girl at ease. I knew he was family, and realizing he was my dad's cousin, I always looked forward to seeing him at the jewelry store, family events, or just out in the community as he always remembered me and made a point to speak with me. That was the man he was - always with good words and a smile to impart. I will continue to treasure these precious memories.

I pray the Lord grants an abundance of comfort in this time of grief, and may you have joy in memories, yet greater joy knowing that he has made heaven a little closer as he is there anticipating seeing you all again.

Grace, peace, mercy, and love,
Nancy
