Ronald Gene (Ronnie) Evans, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018, at his residence. He was born July 20, 1934, to Albert Evans and Maurine Mozelle Griffin in El Dorado, AR.

Upon graduation from El Dorado High School, he entered the Marine Corp and after a tour of duty returned to El Dorado and attended Southern State College for 2 years.

May 2, 1959 he married the love of his life Mary W. Stevens, two and a half years later, God blessed them with a beautiful blond baby girl, who was to become the sunshine of his life.

He was a man of great and strong faith and lived what he believed. He loved his church, Norphlet UPC and was a faithful member, until his health failed him. At age 78, he retired from Liberty Supply, where he enjoyed many lasting friendships.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and step-father, W.M. Hall.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary S. Evans of El Dorado; daughter, Rhonda Karen Talley; granddaughter, Kenzie Morgan Hale; great grandson, Parker Ray Hale; and sister, Nancy Wright (Jerry) of Fayetteville, AR.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, at Young’s Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Norphlet Pentecostal Church in Norphlet, AR. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
