Sammy "Boy" Jeans Jr.

Sammy was born in Texarkana, Texas to Sammy Jeans and Frances Harless Jeans on March 31, 1942. Sammy was a member of Green Grove Chapel and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and golf. He was a self-employed contractor.

Sammy is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Tracie Ward; and two sisters, Sonja White and Kathryn Schoen.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Sandra Jerry Jeans; two sons, Jeffery Lee Jeans of Bismarck, AR and Jeffrey Jerry of Redfield, AR; one brother, Gary W. Jeans Sr. and wife Tara of Texarkana, AR; nine grandchildren, Sammy Dosch, Dana Dosch, Christian Ward, Jon Michael Ward, Colton Jeans, Rachel Jeans, Ashton Molsbee, Chloe Morris, and Abigail Jerry; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Sammy Dosch, Christian Ward, Jon Michael Ward, Colton Jeans, Gary Jeans Jr., and Danny White. Honorary pallbearers include Trey Richie and Buddy Timmons.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 6, 2023, 2:00 pm at Green Grove Chapel with Rev. Mike Hardin officiating. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Green Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
