Karen and Lori,
We are so sorry for your loss. We lived next door to y’all when you both were young. Many nights we would come over and watch the 10 o’clock news with your parents or they’d come to our house.
In thinking of your mom, I always remember her delicious lemon pound cake. She was a wonderful cook.
We had a neighbor, Mrs Farley, who lived on the other side of us and she loved to play the piano and sing. When the piano duo, Ferrante and Teicher came to El Dorado, Mrs.
Farley bought Sonnie and I a ticket and took us. Being young stay at home moms, we were delighted to go.
I’m sure you girls have lots of precious memories of your wonderful parents.

Sonnie and I were lifelong friends, from junior high when she was the first to get to drive the gang to the Dairyette, to the wonderful times we had when she visited Frank and me in Cincinnati. I was at her wedding when she married Patton, the love of her life. Her smile and her thoughtfulness will be remembered always, and she will be greatly missed.

So sorry for your loss, Karen and Lori. I know you've both said from the moment she left this earth that she and your dad were reunited. So glad y'all take comfort in knowing that!

I met Sonnie in 2013 when she signed up as an El Dorado Connections RSVP volunteer. She was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. She was always willing to help me in any way I needed. Sonnie had a giggle that would make you laugh with her no matter what.
She will be greatly missed.

I’m sorry to hear this! Prayers for her daughters and family. I worked at First National Bank with Sonnie as a bookkeeper. And was in high school with her. Always a sweet lady! The last time I talked with her was in El Dorado at my husband’s funeral three years ago . I know she will be missed! Glenna Rowland
