Shelby Earl (Buddy) Sledge of Mount Holly, Arkansas, formerly of Dermott, Arkansas, was born on December 9, 1940 to Hebert and Zora Atkinson Sledge in Dermott Arkansas. Buddy went to live with Jesus on July 18, 2020.
He is predeceased by his parents, his brothers, H.A. Sledge, Harold Sledge, Loyd Sledge, and Ronnie Sledge; his sisters, Margaret Sledge, Sylvia Sledge, and Shirley Hicks all of Dermott.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Kolb Sledge of Mount Holly; his daughter, Kristy (Jason) Waxley of Smackover; his son, Allen (Allison) Dunn of Star City; 5 grandchildren, Tyler (Taylor), Cole and Landon Waxley, Kaylee and Chason Dunn; and one soon to be great granddaughter, Josette Kate Waxley.
A private family graveside service will be held at Dermott City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
