Steve Huitt

Steve Huitt, 54, of El Dorado, AR, died on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas following a sudden illness. Born on January 27, 1959 in El Dorado, Arkansas, he was the son of Willie M. and Brenda Joyce Cranford Huitt.

Steve was a devoted husband and loving father. He was the Sunday school director at Old Union Baptist Church. Steve had a servant’s heart and had a special love for the youth and kids of the church as well as the Senior Adults. He was a 1977 graduate of Old Union High School, where he played both basketball and baseball as a student.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 33 years, Nancy Huitt; their daughter, Angela Huitt both of El Dorado; a brother, Mike Huitt of El Dorado; a sister, Leigh Ann Bolin (Tim) of El Dorado. He will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Young’s Chapel with Bro. Steve Pelz and Bro. Brian Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Young’s Funeral Directors Friday from 5:00 to 7:00.
