

Born September 19, 1926 in El Dorado, he was the son of Rolley A Worrel, Sr. and Myrtle Roe Worrel. Mr. Worrel attended Arkansas State Teachers' College and had retired from Lion Oil where he was a boiler operator.
Mr. Worrel served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was a proud survivor of the Japanese attacks on the USS Intrepid in 1944/1945.
Travis was also an avid duck hunter and bass fisherman and worked as a field tester for Bill Norman lures.
Preceding him in death along with his parents was a daughter, Susan Saulsbury, a grandson, Spencer Saulsbury and a brother, R. A. Worrel, Jr.
Survivors include his wife Bettye Bryant Worrel and a son, Rolley "Buddy" Worrel and his wife Nancy Arn Worrel and a son-in-law, Dennis Saulsbury of El Dorado. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Dena Saulsbury Monaco and husband, Attilio of Bedford, New Hampshire, a grandson, Dustin Fisher (Annel Cordera) of Salina Kansas and a great-granddaughter, Katelyn West of Star City, AR, along with a niece, Marti Panikkar of Ft. Smith, AR.
Graveside services will be held 11 am, Saturday, February 19, 2022 in Woodlawn Cemetery with Bro. David Mitchell officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the U. S. Navy Honor Guard. Interment will follow under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
