

Born July 14, 1948 in Springhill, LA to the late Felton Lindsey and the late Virginia Butler.
During his earlier years Wayne worked for Olin Kraft-Williamette Particle Board Plant in Lillie, LA and in the oil fields of No LA and So AR. He worked 20 years for Con Agra –Pilgrim’s Pride Feed Mill, and 4 years for Ken’s Discount Builders Supply.
His first marriage was to Sandra Culpepper Lindsey, with whom he had 2 sons, Greg Lindsey and Anthony Lindsey, and daughter Rene’ Lindsey Aycock. After Sandy’s death he married La Juan Vines Lindsey.
Wayne enjoyed his family, gardening, hunting, fishing, and helping his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, La Juan, son Greg (Karen), of Urbana; daughter, Rene’ (Max) of Junction City, step-son; Dennis Vines (Carla) of Junction City; three sisters, Nancy Brown (Bill) of Junction City, Mary Smith (Byron) of Kingwood, TX and Donna Dunn, of Henderson, TX; grandchildren, Kristin Thornhill and Brandon Lindsey; and step-grandchildren, Heaven Leveritt, Angel Leveritt, Logan Vines and Kayla Vines.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at Canaan Cemetery in Spearsville, LA with Rev. Conner Garlington officiating and under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
