
Annette Summerville Cook, 71, of El Dorado, went home to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born August 1, 1941, to Preston William and Mabeline Cook Summerville in El Dorado, AR.
She was a lifetime member of Westside Baptist Church. Annette was actively involved with Cook’s Body Shop where she served as co-owner of the 65 year old family business. She loved traveling and seeing the sites. She enjoyed the simple things in life, but most of all she loved spending time with her husband, children, and 6 grandchildren. They were the true joys of her life.
Preceding her in death are her parents.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Billy Ray Cook; two sons, Butch Cook, and Jody Cook; one daughter, Cari Cook Black (Johnny) all of El Dorado; two sisters, Howeleen Ward (Shelby), and Patricia King both of El Dorado; brother, Billy Summerville (Sara) of Texarkana, TX; four grandsons, Brennan Cook, Nicholas Cook, Braden Cook, and Landon Black; and two granddaughters, Krystal Cook and Bailey Black.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Young’s.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. May 13, 2013, at Westside Baptist Church with Bro. Gerald Perry and Bro. Gary Don Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
