He was the fifth child and only son of Bill and Carrol Allen and had lived in El Dorado since 1974 when his father became minister at the College Avenue Church of Christ.

He was an avid hunter and longtime member of the Beech Creek Deer Camp, but William’s passion was duck hunting, and he spent most of the duck season at the Boydell Country Club. I only knew William from his auctions that I attended. I always felt like he was very honest. He ran a good auction and I will miss them.
