He was born January 16, 1923 in Smackover, Arkansas to William Fredrick Jackson and Minnie Etta Dison. He worked as an oilfield roustabout for the Long Brothers. Snip was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Edna Mae; five sisters, one brother, one great grandson Collier Sneed, and son-in-law Toby Jackson.
Survivors include his two sons Terry Jackson (Patricia) of Snowhill, AR and Jerry Jackson (Nancy) of Snowhill, AR; one daughter Frances Totty (Johnnye) of Augusta, AR and brother Rufus “Doc” Jackson of Pasadena, TX, along with 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Young’s Chapel in El Dorado, Arkansas with Brother Rodney Jackson and Brother Bill Weihe officiating. Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Smackover, Arkansas.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 17, 2018 at Young’s Funeral Directors in El Dorado.
