

Adelheid (Heidi) Violett, a long time El Paso resident passed away September 7, 2012 in Colorado. Heidi was born in Germany on August 20, 1924 and moved to the United States with her husband Ernest (deceased) after World War II. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was an exceptional cook and seamstress for all of her family. She loved her yard and flowers and was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church. She leaves behind a family that will miss her greatly not only here in the United States, but her family in Germany which she longed to see and her many wonderful friends from the community and her neighborhood.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Thomas (Bill) and son, Russell Violett (Janeen) along with her grandchildren, John Blalack (Cindy), William Thomas (Yarisdi), Alyssa Violett, Russell Violett II, Ryan Violett, and Heidi Violett. She is also survived by her four great grandchildren, Johny Blalack, Jr. (Jammie), Jessica Blalack, Joseph Blalack, and Abby Violett, as well as, her great-great grandchildren, Johny Blalack, III and Cayla Overfelt.
A special Thank You to Cata for many years of being a best friend and neighbor.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Martin East. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with interment to follow.
