It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Adelina “Lena” G. Seelig, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on October 30, 2024, at the age of 77. A longtime resident of El Paso, Texas, Lena was known for her kind heart, selfless giving, and dedication to her family.
Born on June 20, 1947, to Enrique Garcia and Beatrice Reyes, Lena lived a life filled with compassion, strength, and commitment. She served for 43 years with the Department of Defense, retiring with a legacy of dedication and integrity. Outside of her career, Lena enjoyed baking, crocheting, and sharing her creations with loved ones. She was an avid fan of Blue Bloods and a loyal supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, cheering on her favorite team each season.
Lena’s family was her greatest joy. She took immense pride in each member's accomplishments, supporting them unconditionally and loving them deeply.
Lena is survived by her daughters, Michelle and Christine; her grandchildren, Amber and husband Antonio, along with their children, Leonardo, Pablo, Santo, and Clarabelle; Justin; and Brianna.
She is also survived by her brother Henry; her sister Cheri and husband Brian, along with their daughter, Tremayne; and her niece Juana (Bibi).
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22, at 5:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in El Paso, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Lena’s life and honor her memory.
Lena’s warmth, love, and generous spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
