Tito passed away on May 3, 2012 on his 22nd birthday after an all too short life. After St. Clements he attended El Paso High School where he was a graceful swimmer on the Swim Team. Because of his love for the ocean and marine life, at the age of 10 he became the youngest certified open water SCUBA diver in El Paso.
Tito was an avid chess player while a member of the El Paso High Chess Club and an active member in the ACTS Retreats with St. Patrick’s Cathedral. While attending UTEP he began training for a military life in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He will be remembered fondly by his friends and family for being a kind and gentle soul. His strong sense of justice was equal to his compassion. He was a special person, loyal and generous to a fault with a unique sense of humor that made everyone laugh. The joy he brought to all who were fortunate to know him will be missed greatly. He leaves a void in our hearts that cannot be filled. He is survived by his parents, Dolph and Dana Quijano, who will always have an infinite love for their son. His sister, Whitney Blaine (Jay) and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and all his friends will forever mourn his passing. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 5:30PM to 7:00PM, with a Vigil at 6:30PM at Martin Funeral Home West. A Funeral Mass for Tito will be celebrated on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 10:30AM at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa, with Fr. Rick Matty officiating. Pallbearers will be: Dustin Giallanza, Patric Castillo, Zack Jenkins, Sam Finster, Travis Brandt and Jonathan Tighe. Honorary Pallbearer is Jayson Alexander. A private inurnment will be held at a later date by the family. Services entrusted to Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N. Resler Dr. El Paso, TX 79912. www.mem.com
