OBITUARY

Alejandro Veloz Jr.

June 29, 1949November 2, 2020

Our beloved Alex, “Junior” was called home on Monday, November 2, 2020. Waiting for him with open arms were Pop, his big brother Carlos Veloz and sisters Margie Sanchez and Liz Aguilar. Junior was truly a special person with a gentle soul. He will be missed by many who loved and appreciated him. He is survived by his Mother Juanita Veloz, Sister, Martha Barajas. Brothers, David Veloz, Gilbert Veloz and Henry Veloz. He is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews. Throughout his life, Junior was an eternal optimist. His greatest gift was that he saw the world through the eyes of a child. He found joy in the simplest things. By the same respect, he had the wisdom and clarity of someone beyond his capacity. We can smile and see past the hurt we are feeling when we think about the things he would say. “We All Have To Die” and “God Is Love” were two of his favorites. Junior worked for many years with Exceed Resources. His job there gave him so much pride and something to look forward to each day. Thank you to the many good people at Exceed Resources who looked out for him and created an environment he enjoyed. Alex loved the Catholic Church. He prayed every day to the Saints and to the Virgin Mary. His second greatest joy was music. He loved the Beatles and Elvis Pressley. He could spend an entire Saturday just listening to his music. He loved to dance whenever he had the chance. And on occasion, he loved to play the slot machines in Las Vegas. We’re missing you very much Junior, but look forward to seeing you again soon.

Uncle Jr,
I didn’t know you long but it was an honor to have met one of God’s Angels. I heard many beautiful stories about you and your love for life especially being around family! How you loved to dance just like my Grandma Liz. Would you believe it if I told you most of the stories came from my Grandma Liz... she told me all about you while we were in heaven.. she told me all about your love of God, Music, JFK, and Life! Pictures are beautiful memories but the memories we were able to make in such a short time will never compare to the memories spent as a family! Watch over us and give Lily a huge hug and kiss from me! Rest In Peace Uncle Junior and keep dancing, smiling, and swimming! Love you!

One of my favorite memories growing up as a kid was seeing Jr. room and his love for Elvis Presley. I would always play with the Elvis Doll he had by his bedside and listen to it play “hound dog” and watch it dance.
I thank Jr. for introducing me to Elvis,
Jr. was a rockstar just like Elvis who will always be missed by his loving family & friends!!

with all my love,

Johnathan Acosta 🙏🏻🦋❤️

Uncle JR, My heart hurts so much, but my soul is at peace knowing you are home. I know you were actually an angel meant to show us all that no matter the situation, faith in our Lord , and in our heart, is what ultimately matters. You taught me compassion, how to play Trouble (which you were a true competitor), and that loud music is truly good for the soul. I am grateful for the moments and memories we had and I will forever cherish them. You always told me to LOVE, and seeing and knowing the pain you endured and all that going on in this world, at the end of the day WE all need LOVE.
Love in our Hearts, Love for our Lord, Love for ourselves, and Love for one another.
I love you beautiful soul.May you always shine bright over us all. ❤️

“For my darling, I love you, and I always will.”
