

Alfred P. Taylor was born on July 11, 1942 in the Bronx, New York. He was born one of thirteen children to the Late Victorine Williams Taylor and the Late William Reader Taylor. His early childhood was spent in both the Bronx and Brooklyn, New York where he attended and was a graduate of Brooklyn High School of Automotive Trades.
After graduation he spent many years honing his craft as a Master Mechanic until his retirement in 2007. He then met and married the former Rosalie Allen. That union produced two children; Alfred Dwayne Taylor and Michael Taylor.
In 2008 he relocated to El Paso, Texas and joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He became an Ordained Deacon in 2010. He served on various committees and ministries which included serving as President of the Brotherhood, Pearls of Zion and Host of Zion Choirs, Prayer Warriors, and Deacon Liaison to the Culinary Ministry.
Affectionately known as Alley to family and friends; he loved to garden, barbeque and was an avid sports fan supporting his two favorite teams; the New York Mets and the New York Giants.
Alley was preceded in death by his brothers Robert, Charles, and Vincent, his sisters Shirley, Inez, Frances and Christine.
He leaves to mourn; his companion, Denise Rabouin, his two sons; Alfred Dwayne and Michael Taylor and their children; his two brothers William Taylor (of North Carolina), Walter Taylor and his wife Faye (of Brooklyn, New York), his sisters Helen Wheatley (of Houston, TX), Patricia Taylor Allen and her husband Clenzy (of Houston, TX), Ruth Taylor Coleman (of El Paso, TX), Beverly Mathis (of El Paso, TX) and Muriel Valerie Mullings (of Palm Coast, Fl), numerous grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
