Allard Randall (Randy) Driggers, 66 years old, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2023. Randy was born on March 18, 1957, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to parents Allard P. Driggers and Trella V. Hanna. He graduated from Eastwood High School in 1975 and went on to complete his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Baylor University where he was also a charter member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. While a student at Baylor, Randy would return to El Paso each summer to resume work at McDonald’s on Yarbrough, where he met his future wife, Pamela. Randy and Pam were married on December 27, 1980.
Randy began selling real estate at his father’s company, CENTURY 21 APD Associates. Established in 1974, CENTURY 21 APD Associates was the first national real estate franchise to open in El Paso. Upon his dad’s retirement, Randy became the President of the family business, and he revolutionized the industry as he developed systems of operation that are still in use by many Realtors and homebuilders. Because of Randy’s leadership, CENTURY 21 APD Associates is today one of the longest continuously operating CENTURY 21 franchises in the world. Everyone who knew Randy knew him to be an excellent businessman.
As a young man, Randy enjoyed snow skiing, scuba diving, and golf. As he grew older, he loved watching college sports. He was a big fan of the Baylor Bears. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren. He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Pamela, as well as his daughters, Leslie (Matthew) Hoard, and Mallory Driggers (John), and his grandchildren, Ethan Edward, Joseph Aloysius, and Evelyn June Hoard. He is also survived by his mother, Trella V Driggers, and his sister, Terrie (Tim) Bolt, and his three nephews, Travis, Tanner, and Walker Bolt. He is preceded in death by his father, Allard P. Driggers.
A prayer service remembering Randy’s life will be on Thursday, July 20th at 5:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-West at 5054 Doniphan Drive. Dr. Dan Richardson, Pastor of Chapel of the North Hills, will serve as officiant.
