Ana Luisa Loya, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 6, 2025, at the age of 78. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Ana Luisa was a proud graduate of Loretto Academy, Class of 1964. She dedicated her life to caring for others—first as a nurse, later during her career with AT&T, and finally as a devoted caregiver to her parents.

Ana Luisa had a special talent for baking and loved to share her delicious cakes and breads with friends and family. She was known for her warm spirit, generous heart, and unwavering friendship. Her kindness and loving presence touched all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco M. and Ernestina Cordero, and her daughter, Patricia Loya (Trisha). She is survived by her daughter, Marcela Loya-Criswell (Marcy); her brother, Jose Gallardo; and many loving cousins.

Funeral Services

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home West, with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 400 W. Sunset Rd., El Paso, Texas 79922.

Inurnment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Memory Gardens of the Valley, Santa Teresa, New Mexico, 88008.

Ana Luisa’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love her.
