Anita Salcedo

Our beloved sister, Anita Marie Salcedo, 71, born on June 4, 1955, in El Paso, Texas, passed away on June 17, 2026. She is survived by her siblings: Louis Salcedo (Sylvia), Rebecca Cardenas (Joe, Laura Conelley, Jessie O'Neill (Carlos), and Martin Salcedo (Lisa). She was preceded in death by her parents: Melchor and Ida Salcedo.

Anita will be remembered as a beloved and cherished presence—someone whose gentle way of moving through the world brought comfort to others and whose compassion was felt in both quiet moments and everyday kindness. Even in life’s ordinary hours, she carried a steady warmth that made people feel seen and cared for.

With a subtle, well-timed sense of humor, Anita could lighten a room without ever taking away from its dignity. She offered encouragement in ways that endured, leaving an inspirational imprint on those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Anita’s memory will be held with gratitude and respect, and she will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915, on August 10, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. A Rosary will follow at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915, on August 10, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Pius X Catholic Church, 1050 N Clark Dr, El Paso, Texas 79905, on August 10, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Graveside services will take place at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906, on August 10, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
