A wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a faithful member of Missio Dei Church, Anita’s life was marked by love, hospitality, and a steadfast heart for her family.
Anita was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Jose Talavera; her brothers Rogelio, Francisco, and Oscar Cuevas; and her parents Macedonio & Maria del Refugio Cuevas.
She is survived by her children — Jose Talavera Jr., Jesus Talavera, Rosa Salazar, Patricia Paul, and Margarita Talavera — their spouses, twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many more loving family members who will forever cherish her memory.
Anita’s home was the heart of family life — a place filled with warmth, laughter, and her unforgettable Chile Colorado and Menudo, dishes that brought everyone back again and again. She especially loved holidays and Sunday gatherings after church, when the whole family came together to share a meal and cheer on the Dallas Cowboys, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
Her gentle spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering love for her family and faith community touched all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of togetherness, devotion, and laughter that will continue through the lives she shaped.
