Anneliese Durkes a longtime resident of El Paso, passed away on February 14,2024. Anneliese Durkes was born in Gilching, Germany in 1931 and came to the United States after marrying Donald Durkes. Anneliese was a beloved mother and Oma. She was faithful to the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Durkes USAF and her sisters and brothers. She is survived by her daughters Joann and Anneliese (Howard), her son Ronald (Elizabeth), grandchildren Anneliese ( Jonathon), Ryan (Lluvia), Derek, Joshua (Sarah), Tyler, and Kyle, and great-grandchildren Andre, Maximus, Kayla, Sonny, and Lucas.
Anneliese enjoyed life to its fullness, traveling the United States and Europe with her husband and children. She enjoyed serving, cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was a seamstress by trade and was an active member in the German club and community in Northeast El Paso where she and her friends cherished many precious moments together.
Visitation for Anneliese will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with Rosary at 7:00 PM, at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer Street, El Paso, Texas 79904. Funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 1:30 PM, 8817 Dyer Street, El Paso, Texas 79904. Graveside service will follow Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79906.
