December 17, 1932- December 3, 2014
Our beloved Annette was one-of-a-kind,
A heart full of love, a very rare find,
She had a smile that burst with light and happiness,
And she carried herself with so much classiness.
Born in Denver, a place close to her heart,
She was strikingly gorgeous, a friendly little tart.
The only Dubin child born to Ben and Fanny,
Her beauty and grace were truly uncanny.
She loved to chat and could talk up a storm,
Being surrounded by friends was just her norm.
She flew to El Paso in ‘53 to visit a camp friend,
That’s where their love story truly begins.
There she met Abe, her knight in shining armor,
He was handsome, smart, and quite the charmer.
They fell in love, her heart he carried,
And six weeks later, they went and got married.
Before you knew it, they had three kids to raise,
Lory and Mindy and Howard, oy vey!
Abe owned and operated Supreme Laundry, yes,
And Annette was a full time mom, one of the best!
She made outfits and dresses and clothing galore,
She threw the best parties, never ever a bore!
She was artsy and stylish, Abe had picked a winner,
Always had delicious meals ready at six for dinner.
She worked for a while, thirty years to be exact,
An agent at Sun Travel, her life never lacked.
Abe and Annette were an adventurous pair,
They traveled the world with oh-so-much flair!
The love between her and Abe was really a treasure,
An out-of-this world love, unable to measure.
They truly were each other’s biggest fans,
Everywhere they went they always held hands!
Lucky in love, in friends and family,
Even though they are all quite nutty!
Her grandkids brought her joy in every single way,
She sent boxes of cookies every Valentine’s Day.
She loved her family, and we loved her back,
Always brought brightness, for that she had a knack.
Between her kids, their spouses, and her grandkids too,
She had a rich and full life that much is true!
There’s no one on earth like our beloved Annette,
She was kooky and funny, we’ll never ever forget.
She was the queen of our family, a mom, grandma, and wife,
Her love, laughter, and spirit remain joys in our life.
Annette is survived by her husband Abe Goldberg; son Howard and wife Mona Goldberg; daughter Lory and husband Jonny Rogers; daughter Mindy and husband Meyer Marcus; and grandkids: Shea and husband Nico Vrataric; Ben and Mila Marcus; Sydney, Brett, and Hannah Goldberg; JW and Garland Rogers; and great grandkids Mia and Dragen Vrataric.
