Tony K. Jabale, beloved husband, father, grandfather “Gidu”, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, at the age of 88, surrounded by family. He was a man of deep faith, steady love, and quiet strength whose legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched.
Born in Zahle, Lebanon, on September 19, 1936, Tony immigrated to the U.S as a teenager and made El Paso, Texas, his home. Though he arrived not knowing English or Spanish, he quickly learned both — a reflection of the resilience and work ethic that would define his life. He graduated from El Paso High School and built his future from the ground up. He proudly served in the Army National Guard, where he deepened his values of discipline, loyalty, and service to others.
Tony was a devoted husband to Venessa Jabale, with whom he shared a loving marriage for over 55 years that was grounded in mutual respect and unwavering support. Together, they raised five children. Tony was a proud and steady presence in their lives — a guiding force who taught by example and loved without limits.
Tony's generosity extended far beyond his family. He welcomed friends, neighbors, and his children's friends as if they were his own. He had a gift for making people feel safe and loved, whether through a story, a shared meal, or one of the many Lebanese dishes he prepared with great joy and pride.
As a supervisor at the Farrah Factory, Tony was a respected leader who led with compassion and integrity. He treated every person with dignity and believed in doing what was right, not just what was easy.
Known for his remarkable ability to fix anything, Tony believed that every problem had a solution. He carried that mindset into every area of his life, never giving up on the things or people he cared about. His grandchildren lovingly called him Gidu, and they can continue to ask, “What would Gidu do?” — because they know he would always figure it out.
Tony also shared a special bond with his loyal dog, Dorie, who adored him as deeply as he loved her.
Above all, Tony Jabale will be remembered for how he made others feel — seen, supported, and deeply loved. He lived his life with purpose and faith, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and service.
He is survived by his son Alan, his daughters Jill, Amy, Mandy, and Toni; his sons-in-law, Byron and Ian; his grandchildren, Kayleigh, Alyssa, Brynin, and Brynin's wife Alex, and his great-grandbaby Philomena, as well as an extended family and a community that was better for having known him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Venessa Jabale, his parents, Kahlil and Najala Jabale; sister, Josephina; and brothers, Moises and Joe Jabale.
Tony’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to call him husband, father, Gidu, and friend.
May he rest in peace and as he would say, "Amen, Brother Ben".
