Apolinar M. Fierro, 94, passed away Friday, October 5th, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of El Paso, TX and a U.S. WWII Army Veteran. He served in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater during World War II and was assigned to C Company, 361st Infantry, 91st Infantry Division. While serving his beloved country, as a First Scout, he was awarded a Bronze Star as well as a Purple Heart. After the war he came back to El Paso where he met the love of his life, Gloria, and was married to her for 68 wonderful years. Apolinar was preceded in death by his wife; Gloria E. Fierro. He is survived by his daughters; Maria O. Torres and Gloria C. Torres, son; Jose A. Fierro, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, siblings; Tomas Fierro and Maria Sanchez. Dad and Grandpa you will forever be in our hearts. Though we were heartbroken to see you go, we know you are happy to be reunited with the Love of Your Life. We will all be reunited one day, never to be separated again. We love you. Visitation will be Thursday, October 18th, 2018 from 5:00pm-9:00pm with a vigil at 7:00pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina. Funeral mass will be Friday, October 19th at 10:00am at Santo Nino de Atocha Catholic Church with internment to follow in Evergreen East Cemetery with military honors.
