

Armando Lazarin, passed away on April 8, 2016 at the age of 65. He was born in El Paso, TX and was a lifelong resident of La Union, NM. Armando was a graduate of Gadsden High School, Class of '69 and was a center fielder for the Gadsden Varsity baseball team when they won the NM State baseball championship in '67. He was also an avid fisherman, hunter and a volunteer Firefighter for the La Union Volunteer Fire Dept. . He was preceded in the death by his Grandparents, Carlos and Sofia Lazarin and his parents Guillermina Medina and Andres Arias. He is survived by his partner Josephine Terrazas, his daughters Yvette Lazarin and Viola Ramos (Roman). His brothers Freddy Medina, Ronnie Medina, Frank (Pancho) Medina and Phillip Medina. His sisters Paula A. Salas, Estela A. Stream, Alice A, Santa Cruz and Nancy A. Esquivel. One grandson "RJ" Ramos and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Lazarin will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016, at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 1320 Mercantil St. in La Union, NM, where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the same church. The rite of committal and interment will follow at the La Union Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.
