Armando Padilla

Armando Padilla died Saturday, April 8, 2023 at his home in El Paso, Texas. He was born July 31, 1945 in El Paso to Guadalupe and Enrique Padilla. Guadalupe was a single mother of seven children and Armando was her youngest. He is survived by three siblings Olga Bacon (Jerry), Oscar Padilla (Bobbi) and Ignacio Padilla (Frances) and his daughter, Ruth Padilla Portacci (Michael) and son, Robert Padilla, as well as a large extended family of cousins nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his his wife of 58 years, Martha; grandmother, Maria; mother, Guadalupe; Uncle and Aunt, Ruben and Elisa Duarte, who helped raise him for many years of his life and his brothers, Henry, Alfred and Gustavo Padilla. Armando had a passion for collecting old cars and listening to 50s and 60s music. He was a talented craftsman and spent a majority of his life working in construction. He served in the U.S. Army stationed overseas. Burial will be at Fort Bliss National Cemetery on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. May he rest in peace.
