Armida A. Parra

Armida A. Parra, 89, passed away April 15, 2012. She was born and raised in Cd. Juarez, Mexico, where she later married Esteban Parra (deceased), pioneer of XEP radio station, Cd. Juarez. She joined her husband in El Paso in 1953, where she raised her family. Armida was a beautiful, vibrant woman, and caring mother who loved family, friends, cooking, music, art and dance. She is survived by her children Armida Jurado (David) and Carlos Parra (Cheryl); step children Esteban Jr. (Maria) and Julieta Parra; grandchildren Andres Jurado and Gabriela Parra and extended family from El Paso and Chihuahua, Mexico. Our heartfelt gratitude is extended to her loving caretakers Elvia Duarte, Angelina Hernandez, Tender Care and Hospice of El Paso. We will miss her dearly; her memory will remain in our hearts forever. Rosary service is on Friday, April 20th, 2012 at ¬¬7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home West. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 21st, 2012 at 9:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Alameda, Ave. Services entrusted to Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N.
