Art, dear friend and colleague, I see that you have rejoined Phyllis, Solem Inc. An Easter Celebration is fitting to mark the moment and memories shared this day. I remember the sound of your laughter, your sharings of "Hagar the Horrible", your broad welcomming smile beneath your always red hair, and your open heart and open door. I look forward to seeing you with Phyllis again in that Kingdom that never ends.
To David, Susan, Mark, Stephen, and family, I pray for God's comforting presence to be with you this day.
May God fill your home and hearts with precious memories always.

We served with Chaplain and Mrs Solem in the Army on several assignments. They were always an inspiration to other military families and Art's chapel services were well attended because of his interesting and uplifting messages. No one could interpret the funny paper better than Art. He found truth in many places.
Our sincere condolences to the Solem family. Chaplain Ivan Marks and Glenna Marks.

Pastor Solem was a dear friend of my fathers and performed my marriage ceremony. His son is tied to our family as well. May God bless you all and my very deepest sympathies..

I have fond memories of LTC Solem packing up the family for numerous camping trips. Although I was a 'tag-along,' he always made me feel welcome and the trips were always fun. God bless him and the rest of the Solem family.

Our condolences to his much loved family. I will miss my brother and our phone conversations,it was a way to bridge the many miles from Florida to El Paso. He will be in our prayers during this difficult time for the family.
