Arturo was a proud veteran who served in the United States Air Force, dedicating his life to protecting and serving his country. His time in the Air Force was a source of great pride, and he carried the values of duty, honor, and service throughout his life. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Arturo's love for his family was immeasurable, and he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Pilar Madrid; his children: Teresa Hays, Arturo E. Madrid, Juan Roberto Madrid, and Ruben P. Madrid; his siblings: Anita Martinez, Angel Madrid, Henry Madrid, Freddy Madrid, Ruben Madrid, Robert Madrid, Tony Madrid, and Eleanor Gomez. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
Arturo was preceded in death by his father, Angel Madrid, and his mother, Tomasa Madrid.
A rosary for Arturo will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1551 Belvidere St, El Paso, TX 79912. A funeral mass will follow at 12:30 PM, also at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will take place at 2:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906, where Arturo will be laid to rest with full military honors.
Arturo’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
