Beatrice (Bea) Granados Duron, a charming, classy, beautiful woman, left this earth on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 to be with our Lord and Savior at the age of 90. She was born in Sierra Madre, California but was a long time resident of El Paso. She left peacefully surrounded by the love of her family members whom she adored. She is now in union with her beloved husband, Ramon Duron Sr., her mother Elvira Munoz Granados, her father Castulo Granados but most importantly with our Lord. She was a woman of great faith, commitment and elegant style. She is survived by her life long cousin Socorro Villalva Granados and her niece Martha Beatrice Villalva and their respective families. Also, by her step-sons George (Bertha), Robert (Celia) and their respective families and several step grandchildren and several step Great-grandchildren.
In her early years Bea was a “Rosie the Riveter” during World War II, assembling B-17 bombers for the Boeing Company while in California. Soon after relocating to El Paso she began her employment with The Popular and the White House Dept. Stores for many years, ending her working career as a teacher’s aide with EPISD.
She was and avid UTEP miner fan, loved attending all sport functions, especially basketball games. Her passion was tending to her flowers and plants (her garden), knitting and crocheting and attending her Bible classes.
Although God has called her to be by his side, we will miss her terribly. We’ll miss her beauty, her style and the warm hugs and blessings she gave us. You filled our lives with joy, love and happiness. Rest in peace, till we meet again.
