Bea was a woman of remarkable strength, intelligence, and unwavering devotion. She spent many years inspiring young minds, as a teacher and speech therapist, before serving as a GT and Curriculum Coordinator for San Elizario. She embraced life wholeheartedly, and found joy in music, dancing to Selena’s “Como La Flor”, traveling, and most importantly her family.
Her husband was her best friend, her daughters were the ones she spent a lifetime protecting, and her grandchildren were the center of her universe. Becoming a grandmother was one of life's greatest joys, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them.
She is lovingly survived by Roberto Arturo Briones. Her devoted husband of 50 years, who embodied a rare blend of love and unwavering devotion. Survived by her daughters, Christina, Analisa (Gabriel), and Marisela (Jesse); and her beloved grandchildren, Luna, Rayleen, Ariel, and Adan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amelia and Enrique Rodriguez.
Bea will be missed by her sisters Nena (Keith) Melvin, Norma (Alfredo) Ortega, her fur grandbabies, many extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, which would have been Bea’s 71st birthday. The rosary will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter Dr, El Paso, TX 79936. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Deacon & Martyr Church, 1700 George Dieter Dr, El Paso, TX 79936.
Her family is forever grateful to Bea's brother-in-law, Alfredo Ortega, for his extraordinary generosity through a paired kidney donation. Because of his selfless gift, she was blessed with five more years of life, allowing her to create precious memories with her family that will be treasured forever.
May we honor her memory by living life to its fullest and continuing to make memories with those we love.
The family is grateful for every expression of sympathy and kindness. Whether through flowers or a donation made in Bea's honor to an animal charity of your choice or the American Kidney Fund. Your thoughtfulness is deeply appreciated.
