Benancio Flores Jr.

Benancio (Benny) Flores Jr. passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2024, at the age of 77. Benny is survived by his wife Norma of 53 years, his sons, Benancio (Emma) and Benjamin (Laura),grandchildren Jocelyn, Vincent, Benny, Benjamin and step-grandchildren Justine, Lynette, Anthony, and Dominiq.

Benny was proceeded in death by his parents Soledad Aguilar and Benancio Flores Sr.

He was a 1965 Thomas Jefferson High School graduate. In December 1965, he became a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, where he fought for his country in Vietnam. He was employed at Phelps Dodge Rod Mill where he retired after 37 years. He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, godfather, and friend. Benny was a member of the Alta Vista Optimist. During his lifetime, he was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed playing many sports, such as HS football, racquetball, softball leagues, and golf.

The Flores family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Aaluri, Dr. Onuoha, his therapists’ Adrian, Alex, and Margie, his home care nurse Conchita, caregiver Julia De Graaf, and Del Sol nurse Eric Gentry.

A visitation for Benancio will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915. A rosary will occur Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 7:00 PM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 3021 Frutas Ave, El Paso, Texas 79905. A graveside service will occur Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
