Bernard Lannis Cowart Jr.

Lanny was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Raymond L. Cowart.

Lanny is survived by his wife, Johanna, and three children, Catherine Bahls, husband Alex of Bryan, TX; Tara Goodwin, husband, Grady of Dallas, TX; and Christopher Lannis Cowart, wife Ashlie Claire of Salem, OR. Lanny had five grandchildren, Lauren Miller of Las Cruces, NM and Colton Miller of Bryan, TX; Graham, Patrick Lannis, and Grace Goodwin of Dallas, TX.

He has a surviving aunt, Gloria Caudle, of Donalsonville, GA.

Lanny had three sisters-in-law, Loretta Short, Camilla Golemo, and Teressa Veith, all of Hamilton, IL. He also had many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Lanny was a CPA who practiced for 42 years, mostly in El Paso, but also in Scottsdale, AZ. He was loved by many for his outstanding character, but also for his wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed.
