Baby Girl Dorothy Bernice Floyd Minefee was born September 3, 1933 in Comanche, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Walker Perry and Mamie Floyd. She had two brothers Eugene and Raymond Floyd and four sisters Lucille Kellum, Maxine Williams, Carol Jo Marley, and Noreen Rylander. On November 10, 1947 Bernice married Billy Ray Minefee in Corsicana, Texas where they began their lives together. They had three children Shirley Minefee Ruhl, Susan Minefee Crowder and David Ray Minefee.
In 1954 Bernice and Bill brought their family to live in El Paso, Texas where they spent the rest of their lives together.
Bernice spent most of her adult life working as a caregiver where she was able to share her love and compassion with all of those that she took care for many years. She never met a stranger and lived life to the fullest.
She was proud member of Horizon Bible Church for many many years and helped it prosper thru good and difficult times. She loved her Pot Luck Sundays, Women's Bible Study and was always the life of the party.
Her joyful life continues on thru her two surviving children, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
