She loved God & her family tremendously. She enjoyed music, dancing & spending time with friends & family & was an avid crocheter & crocheted baby blankets for all of her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
She attended Abundant Living Faith Center for over 30 years. She participated in a church dance group, who performed for the elderly in nursing homes & the community. She also enjoyed zumba, line dancing, swimming aerobics & was very active in her community.
She is preceded in death by her mother Maria Marin, her father Jose Solano and her grandson Richard Gabriel Galaviz. She's survived by her husband of 62 years, Martin Galaviz, her daughter Sara Galaviz, her son Abel Galaviz (Debbie), and her son Gustavo Galaviz (Gloria).
She is also survived by her 5 loving grandchildren, Aaron Galaviz, Amber Galaviz Ballard, Sierra Galaviz Acevedo, Gabriel Galaviz, Renee Galaviz and 6 amazing great-grandchildren, Marley Galaviz, Lyla Galaviz, Arielle Galaviz, Sloane Galaviz, Benjamin Abel Ballard, and Selah Galaviz Acevedo.
A visitation for Bertha will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., prayer service will promptly begin at 6:30 p.m at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A celebration of life will take place Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. 1060 North Carolina Dr. El Paso Tx 79915, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906
