Bill and Ann were our neighbors in Georgetown, Texas.  I didn't know Bill had passed.  Since moved back to Wisconsin have thought very fondly and often of our old neighbors.   Today, decided to do some searching on line and saw this memory.   Rest in Peace kind sir.   Best regards to Ann and the Family.

I worked for Billy Collins when I was a captain and he was a major.   He was a mentor and a good friend.   We were stationed at the Charleston Army Depot. He attended our wedding and I spent many nights with him fishing for striped bass in Goose Creek. He called me to congratulate me when I was selected for battalion command. It was then when I learned he had retired twice and eventually retired as a full colonel.  It  couldn't have happened to a better person .  Rest in Peace my old friend.
