Bobbie passed away peacefully, after a courageous journey through Alzheimer’s, leaving a legacy of faith, resilience, entrepreneurship, generosity, and steadfast love for her family and friends.

A Life of Energy, Faith, and Determination

Bobbie embraced life with enthusiasm and an unwavering willingness to begin again. She was never afraid to pursue a dream, take on a new project, or reinvent herself. Whether building a business, mentoring future real estate professionals, caring for her garden and beloved pets, or planning her next adventure, she met each endeavor with optimism, grace, and perseverance.

A Trailblazing Career in Real Estate

After dedicating her early years to raising her four children, Bobbie earned her Texas Real Estate License in 1967. She quickly became one of El Paso’s top-producing Realtors and later managed one of the city’s largest real estate offices. In 1974, she founded Sun Country Realty, which grew to three successful locations across El Paso.

Recognizing the growing need for professional education in real estate, Bobbie, with her husband Ralph Scoppa established The Academy of Real Estate, Texas’ first private real estate school in 1975. They later devoted themselves fully to the Academy, educating and mentoring countless real estate professionals throughout Texas. Bobbie was a lifetime member of the Texas Real Estate Teachers Association, served as a Director of the El Paso Board of Realtors, and served on the Texas Association of Realtors Convention Advisory Committee.

Adventures, Friendships, and Everyday Joys

Bobbie’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her son, Kelly Romack, and his former wife, Amy Romack Swindell; her daughters, Kristi Romack-Eddings and her husband, Albert Eddings; Kerri Romack Flick, widow of Dean Flick; and Kimmi Romack and her husband, Michael Dennison.

She was the proud grandmother of Farrin Gallardo Castillo, husband Ivan , Austi Romack, Jordan Irizarry, husband Sam, Rachel Romack, Courtland Ogren, husband Dan, Hannah Romack, Logan Dennison, Dallas Flick, wife Kara, Tori Rollins, husband Cole, and Addison Hardin, husband Tyson.

She was also blessed with thirteen beloved great-grandchildren: Elize Valdez, Ryan Castillo, Kyler Castillo, Elan Castillo, Poppy and Beau Ogren; Wyatt and Waylen Rollins; James and Maddox Romack; and Gabriel and Katherine Irizarry. She was joyfully anticipating the arrival of another great-grandchild, expected this month, Jaime Flick.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Jack Romack, the father of her four children, and by her second husband, Ralph D. Scoppa. Later in life, she was blessed to find love again with Colonel (Ret.) Charles "Bud" Cranford, with whom she shared many wonderful years filled with companionship, laughter, travel, and new adventures.

Those who knew Bobbie will remember her adventurous spirit, entrepreneurial drive, generous heart, and steadfast faith. She had an extraordinary ability to encourage others, build meaningful relationships, and inspire those around her to pursue their dreams. Her legacy lives on not only through the businesses she built and the students she mentored, but most importantly through the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched.

Bobbie lived a life defined by courage, determination, generosity, and love. She embraced every new chapter with grace and optimism, leaving the world better than she found it. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, former students, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

Funeral Services

A Funeral Mass celebrating Bobbie's life will be held on Thursday, August 6, at 12:00 p.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1551 Belvidere Street, El Paso, Texas.

Visitation and the Rosary will begin at 11:00 a.m., prior to the Mass.

Following the Mass, the Rite of Committal and interment will take place at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a reception following the interment at the home of Albert and Kristi Eddings
