Bruce Wayne "Batman" Shipley

Bruce Wayne Shipley, 82, of El Paso, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025. Born on June 23, 1943, Bruce lived a life marked by dedicated service to his country, unwavering commitment to his family, and a passion for the simple joys in life.

Bruce proudly served his country as a Vietnam veteran, dedicating 20 years to the United States Army. Following his military retirement, he continued his service to the community through the United States Postal Service, from which he retired in 2005. His work ethic, integrity, and kindness touched the lives of countless individuals throughout his career.

An avid golfer, Bruce could often be found on the greens, perfecting his swing and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow golf enthusiasts. He was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, never missing an opportunity to cheer on his beloved team.

Above all, Bruce cherished his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Emily Cisneros Shipley; daughter Michelle Shipley and her husband Dana Albrecht, and their son Shipley Albrecht; daughter Leona McCord, her husband Wes, and their children Breann and Bryce; and daughter Raven Shipley and her children Thomas and Emmie. His legacy of love, service, and strength will live on through them.
