With overwhelming sadness and eternal love, we announce the passing of Carlos "Charlie" Moreno Sr., a Devoted Father, Loving Husband, Grandfather, Brother and Friend. Charlie was born on July 22, 1947 in El Paso, TX, and passed away on Tuesday October 27, 2026.
He was an honorable man who taught his family the value of hard work. A lifelong Truck Driver with a passion for the road. He will be remembered for his numerous qualities but most for his extreme kindness and generosity, a hardworking man who was an amazing provider.
He is survived by his Wife Emma, Goddaughter Desiree, Daughter Karen, Grandchildren Chelsea and Nicholas and many others as well as many great grandchildren, his sisters and countless family and friends. He was preceded in death by Daughter Lily, Son Charlie Jr. and Son Sal. His family will carry his memory forward for generations through the life lessons he taught, stories, and the unconditional love he gave so generously.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N. Resler Drive, El Paso, TX 79912.
Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, November 5, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N Mesa St, El Paso, TX 79902. Interment will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery, 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, NM 88008.
