Carmen S. Guzman

With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our dear mother Carmen S. Guzman. She passed away on Saturday March 21, 2026. She was 96 years old.

Carmen was a strong woman, devoted to her family. She prayed for her children daily. She loved to dance, sew and knit. She was welcoming to everyone who entered her home. She will be remembered and missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Fernando Guzman E. and her son Gustavo Guzman.

She is survived by her children Carmen G. Munoz (Trini+), Art Guzman (Roberta Ann), Fernando Guzman (Ann Marie), Leticia Kettel (Miles), Daniel Guzman (Diana) and daughter-in-law Bertha Guzman. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren: Art Munoz (Maria Luisa), Jason Munoz, Kathy Medina (Rudy), Jessica Estorga, Joseph Guzman, Derek Kettel, Adriana Enriquez (Moises), Gustavo Guzman (Rivka), Norma Green (Dustin), Cindy Papell (Nick), Michael Guzman, Mark Guzman (Clarissa) and Michelle Sequeira (Mykal). She also leaves behind18 great-grandchildren.

Our mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend will be remembered with deep respect and enduring love by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, TX 79915, on April 7, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 7712 Rosedale St., El Paso, TX 79907, on April 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Graveside Service will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, TX 79907 on April 8, 2026, at 11:30 p.m.
