Carmen Beatrice Olinger passed away at Memorial Medical Hospital in Las Cruces, New Mexico on June 30, 2019. She was at the age of 53. Deceased of a heart arrhythmia, following a strong battle with type II diabetes.

Carmen was born September 30, 1965 in El Paso, Texas to LaVaurne Dale Humphries and Maria Martinez. Her mother and father also birthed her two brothers, John and David Humphries. Carmen was the second oldest.

She graduated Andres High School in 1983, where she was a clarinet player in band, and after a cheerleading coach. She loved dancing, cooking, taking pictures, and spending time with her family. Carmen was an amazing, beautiful mother devoted to her four children, Rico & Cruz Fierro, Marianna J. Humphries & Destiny R. Chavez.

On April 7, 1997, she married a personable man, Michael A. Olinger.

Michael is a truck driver, who she loved traveling through the United States with, and at times her daughters would come along when they were on vacation from school. She saw her entire country because of him.

She made friends with nearly every face she shared a smile with. Her laugh was contagious and she had a healing spirit. She has left a part of herself with everyone she came across by her willingness to help and comfort.

She had faith and believed in spreading the word of God. Being a spiritual woman who loved going to church she would dance and sing in worship for him. Before she passed, she was always a motivated mother.

When she became a grandmother, she had a new identity and lived to share her love for her grandchildren and family. She will be deeply missed by her all that knew her and her loved ones.

Those whose lives Carmen touched are welcomed to her Celebration of Life on Saturday July 13th at 2PM. Location is Martin Funeral Home at 128 N Resler Dr, El Paso, TX 79912.

There will be a reception held after at Dots Party Hall from 5-9PM at 300 N. Mesa Suite B6 El Paso TX 79902.
