Carmen Sanchez

Carmen Sanchez (Carmelita) 87, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Socorro, Texas and was a retired food service employee with the SISD (Socorro High School). She was preceded in death by her parents: Jesus and Florentina Sanchez sister: Juanita Loya brothers: Pedro, Antonio, Ramon, Jesus and Salvador sisters-in-law: Basilia, Simona, Virginia, Refugio (Cuca) brother-in-law: Rafael Loya nephews: Miguel, Ramon Jr. and Arturo Blas. Carmen is survived by sister-in-law: Rosa P. Sanchez nephews: Pedro Jr., Jesus, Johnny, Lorenzo, Antonio Jr., Gonzalo, Hector, Salvador Jr., Gilbert, Ruben, Sylvester, and David nieces: Julia Parra, Irma Sanchez, Rita Garcia, Mary Franco, Lupe Salcido, Flora Fyffe, Eleanor Hidalgo, Julieta Carrillo, Sylvia Morales, Margaret Trujillo, Rosemary Marin, and Raquel Gomez. Carmen is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Pallbearers will be Antonio A. Sanchez Jr., Anthony A. Sanchez, Eduardo (Eddie) Franco, Jesus Sanchez, Ruben Sanchez, Michael Carrillo, and Honorary Pallbearer: Hector A. Sanchez. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 Carolina Drive. Funeral Mass will be held at La Purisima Catholic Church (Mission) on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Internment following at La Purisima Catholic Cemetery. We would like to express our most profound “Thank You” for the loving assistance and care-giving provided to our beloved Carmelita by all, especially Irma and Rita and the Center for Compassionate Care-West.
