Carolyn graduated from Roosevelt University in Chicago and soon began her long and distinguished career as an elementary school teacher.
On August 16th 1959 she married the love of her life Sheldon Gopin. Together they had three children Michael (Dawn), Bruce (Shelly) and Jennifer (Carlos). In 1973, the young couple moved their family to El Paso.
Carolyn had a great love for her family and was a driving force in keeping everyone close. She loved to travel the world with her family and eagerly anticipated her next adventure. As her family grew she became known as Grammy to her many wonderful grandchildren. She loved to paint and was a weekly mahjong player with many of her close friends.
