Christopher James Baeza, age 35, was born on October 20, 1990 in El Paso, Texas and passed away April 8, 2026. Beloved son; brother; and father of three: daughter Desiree Marie (15), sons Atom James (13) and Thomas Mato (Little Bear) (4).
Christopher worked as a Barber at New Generations Barber Shop, in East El Paso. He was a dear friend to his co-workers and clients; and he always committed to work with excellence. With a passion for music, he was a talented self-taught drummer, along with guitar, and beginning piano. He enjoyed training in jiu-jitsu with the Black Sheep BJJ/Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu El Paso family, and was greatly inspired by several men he considered mentors. He loved every outdoor activity, with a special enjoyment of camping, fishing, swimming, and bike riding. Playing every sport with his children and family-with a particular passion for football, baseball, and hockey- was always incredibly fulfilling to him. He took pride in his discipline to meal plan, cook, and exercise. He was quick to join in the fun; whether it involved board/card games, hot wheels, reading stories, or rolling around the floor while doing so. He had a gift of being present in the moment with both kids and adults. He was an incredibly talented artist. Everything he touched—painting, drawing, clay, ceramics—everything, he would turn into a work of art, even in his writing abilities, expressing himself so eloquently. He was a man of genuine faith in Jesus Christ, trusting Him as his savior, growing in his walk through reading the Bible, developing friendships with godly mentors, and intimate conversations with his parents. He was an “A” student at EPCC beginning his studies to become a lawyer to help fathers be reunited with their children. He has been described by all who knew him as an amazing guy; hard working; so kind and tenderhearted; selflessly generous; genuine; loyal; and passionate about mastering all he set his mind to. All of who he was and what he did was for his children and to please God. He adored his children and treasured each moment he had with them, always ready & willing to actively teach them all he learned. Though deeply loved by his friends and family, the depths of his love for others was unequaled. Christopher, you are GREATLY treasured and missed.
