Christopher “Chris” Cruncleton was called home on March 17, 2021 beginning his eternal life with our Lord. Chris was a proud graduate of Eastwood High School and Texas Tech University becoming a middle school Science teacher for Socorro Independent School District. He proudly served the SISD community for 30 years until his retirement in 2015. He cherished his time working with young minds and making a difference in his students lives.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents Margaret Mary Przytarski Cruncleton and Emmitt Harry Cruncleton and brother, Michael. He is survived by his wife, Kristel Riley Cruncleton, son Daniel Cruncleton, Son by choice Deirick Patterson, and daughter by choice Jeramea Dennison. He leaves behind 3 brothers and their spouses John and Isela Cruncleton, Mark and Barbara Cruncleton and Larry Cruncleton with 5 nieces, 3 nephews, and 5 great nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. It is important to mention his brother by choice Douglas McNicol, who was a dear friend to him since first grade, the entire McNicol family were held dearly in his heart.
Chris enjoyed barbequing in the back yard, fishing, and attending sporting events played and coached by his kids and was a loyal “Red Raider” fan. He enjoyed attending the “Friday Night Lights” to watch the El Dorado Aztecs as well as track meets on Saturday to watch his kids compete. Especially watching Deirick and Jeramea jump and Danny coach throwers. His biggest passion is watching and guiding young people to overcome life’s obstacles and help them succeed.
Chris spent his life trying to make sure he left an imprint on society by being a teacher, father, husband and friend that made those whose lives he touched better by just having him in their lives. He will be missed dearly by many.
