Clifton Howard Burchfield, 95, died on June 22, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Lillian Burchfield; daughters Patricia Pattison Bartley and Janice Brooks; son-in-law Robert Brooks; grandchildren Donna Pattison, Pamela White, Robert Brooks Jr., John Pattison, Michael Brooks, and Ralph Brooks; and great-grandchildren Thomas Damron, Randi and Cody Hennigan, Danielle Brooks, Michael Brooks Jr., Michelle Brooks, Robert Brooks III, Matthew Brooks, Joshua Brooks and Hunter Brooks.Serving from WW II through Korea and Vietnam, Cliff retired from the U.S Army after 21 years and then again from ASARCO.A man of many talents from ping pong to poker, checkers to gardening, and bowling to horseracing, his goal was to be the best at whatever he did. His family and friends will celebrate his life on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, with a visitation from 6:30 to 9:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home West. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1201 Hawkins Blvd, El Paso, TX 79925. Entombment will follow at Evergreen East Mausoleum.
