He is survived by his son; Jeffrey J. Hicks, mother; Sharon Means (husband Lynn Means), brother; James L. “Larry” Hicks, step-mother; Pam Hicks, three aunts; Paula Orrill, Betty Oliver, Christina Perkins, and an uncle; Roy Perkins (wife Jane Perkins). He also has many cousins across TX, OK, and GA. The family would also like to acknowledge Damon’s long term friends Terry Madrid and David Poche.
Damon graduated from Eastwood High School and went on to a trade school in mechanics. He held various jobs over his lifetime in the El Paso area,
