Daniel Garduno

With profound sadness and unwavering faith, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, family member and friend, Daniel Garduño.

Daniel was a man of remarkable strength, integrity and steadfast faith in God. He lived his life with honesty, purpose and a commitment to doing what was right. A man of his word, he believed that promises were meant to be kept, hard work built character and faith carried a family through every season of life.

Above all else, Daniel deeply loved his wife, Lili. She was his true partner, and he devoted himself to caring for her and ensuring she had everything she needed. He trusted her completely, sharing every joy, every concern and every part of his life with the woman he cherished.

Daniel was a proud and loving father to his five children—Eduardo Barbosa, Myriam Barbosa, Diana Rico, Lillian Garduño and Valeria Garduño—as well as a doting grandfather. He taught his children not only with his words, but also through his actions. He showed them the value of hard work, responsibility and independence, believing that nothing worth having came without effort. He encouraged his children to earn what they received, knowing it would build strength and character.

As a father, Daniel’s greatest joy was providing for his family. He never simply gave us what we needed—he worked tirelessly to give us the things we dreamed of as well. Every one of his children was spoiled by his generous heart and unwavering love. He found joy in making each of us feel special, even in the smallest ways. If one child wanted one meal and another wanted something different, he happily prepared separate dishes just to see each of us smile.

His work ethic was unmatched. Whether he was feeling well or battling illness, he went to work because providing for his family was never optional—it was his calling. Even during seasons when money was scarce and it seemed impossible, he never allowed his family to go without. Somehow, through determination, sacrifice and God’s grace, he always found a way to provide. We never knew what it meant to truly lack because our father carried that burden on his own shoulders.

Daniel made countless sacrifices that many never saw. He worked long hours so his family could enjoy opportunities he often denied himself. He wanted us to experience the world, to make memories together and to have moments of joy. There were times he stayed behind and continued working so that we could travel, never asking for recognition or thanks. His greatest happiness came from seeing his family happy.

While he was firm and disciplined, his heart was full of love. He filled our home with laughter, played with his children, cooked meals that brought the family together and passed on practical skills that would serve us throughout our lives. Whether fixing something around the house or teaching us a new project, he was always ready to show us how to work with our hands, solve problems and face life’s challenges with confidence.

Daniel’s greatest legacy is not found in material things, but in the values he instilled in those who loved him: faith, honesty, perseverance, generosity, loyalty, selflessness and unconditional love for family. He showed us that true success is measured not by what we keep for ourselves, but by what we give to those we love.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Daniel’s journey on earth has ended and that he has been welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. His life was a blessing, his love a gift and his memory a treasure that will remain in our hearts forever.

Daniel will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His lessons, his laughter, his strength, his sacrifices and his unconditional love will continue to guide his family for generations to come.

Thank you for every sacrifice you made, every lesson you taught, every meal you cooked, every mile you drove, every hour you worked, every dream you helped us achieve and every moment you loved us so completely. We are who we are because of you. We will honor your name by living the values you gave us and by loving our own families the way you loved ours.

We love you beyond words, and we will carry your legacy in our hearts every day until God brings us together again.
